Title: Mk1 cabrio wiper making rev's go crazy

Hi guys

Just got my cabrio back from the body shop and when i turn on my wipers the rev counter goes crazy and the water temp light flashes, i also dont have fast wipe only intermitent and constant.

earth problem or the stalks are playing up take apart steering column and check connection to the stalks also check the earth to the rocker cover [brown or brown/white wires]
also the earths to the column switches
