All you need is a trip to argos and halfords

Kids bed duvert cover, wood glue, super glue, spray lacquer and a tin of liquid lacquer.

I've got a spare bonnet kicking about that I was going to do something with, but that involved using my projector... :lipsrsealed:

Good to know it won't slide off as soon as it rains though

What about when your car gets really hot ??

It's not just resting, it's solid. A thick layer of wood/pva glue to hold the material thick, super glue round the edges to harden it, spray lacquer all over the material and then thick coats of brushed on tinned lacquer. It's solid.

Sweet stuff! I would be worried about heat though, engine's get mega hot and I can see the glue melting. Maybe use heat-proof glue next time?

Be good to know what happens after an hour's drive tbh.

does the bonnet itself actually get that hot?  I've driven for a fair few hours before and at the end of it the bonnet doesn't feel any different to when the car has been standing.

If you sit in traffic it can get very hot.
