Has anyone bought a new rear bumper from the dealerships? I want to find a price on it new as second hand prices vary alot!.
I want to find a price because sitting in traffic on friday after work, someone smacked into my rear the other day after owning the car for just 5 days!!
The part thats damaged is " middle" part of the bumper if we say there is 3 sections. The middle part being the rubbery plastic part. lower part being the lower valance where the exhausts pokes out from.
I assume that if i was to buy a rear bumper i would need to buy the whole shabang?
Thanks guys

It's in two parts mate ''top'' painted bit & ''lower'' textured grey part. I had the same thing happen to mine the other week, new mud flap & all paints, parts & tiny repair to inner arch etc came to 935 quid from main dealer !!!!!!!. Good indi repair shop came in at 822 pounds .
I'm going through insurance & let them sort it as my N.C.D. is protected.

Ouch expensive!.
the guys ford came off worse then mine!. all my golf had was to little scratches kinda like pokin a sharp pointy object into the textured plastic bit and trying to make a whole. so i have 2 little 5p size scuffs.
I know it aint a big problem but its a new car i had it for less then a week
So did they give you a cost on the bumper itself?

Stuck at work now mate but i can check on the quotes when i get home ?. Both places quoted that as the scratches were deep & long they would just bin the bumpers & replace with new as they couldn't guarantee a perfect mach repair.

Had a price from my local main dealer a couple of months ago to replace both top and bottom rear valance inc painting it black, £490 all in. Cant remember off the top of my head but i think the bottom part was around £80 - 90 and the top £130 - 140 unpainted ?
