My mk3 is in desperate need of a good machine polishing before i put it up for sale but i haven't got a clue where to take it. Id initially planned to do it myself and even purchased a rotary polisher and pads from ebay but ive kinda lost the confidence to do it now after a half hearted attempt at it today plus the fact it was bloody hot outside. Ive already painted the key scratches and flatted them back with some wet and dry but it now needs that final bit of tlc from somebody with the skills and patience...

I'd also like to know if there's a decent mopping/polishing service in the Machester area?
-
I'd also like to know of a decent service like above, Croydon would be ideal although kent isnt all that far.

This in no way supposed to be a shameless advert, however the franchise I am a part of are nationwide and most of them will provide this service.
I don't want to post the website in case I upset a forum sponsor (moderator please remove if I'm out of line) but PM if you're seriously interested and I'll try and help.

Alright mate, what;s the company?
-
As above, surely it's not an issue to post the company name on here?

Okay, I'm sure the mods will remove it if need be.
I run a ChipsAway franchise and we are paint specialists. Some franchises will offer a full machine polish as part of their services. Check here http://www.chipsaway.co.uk/smartrepairs/index.php?section=237 (http://www.chipsaway.co.uk/smartrepairs/index.php?section=237) to find your local guy.
We used to have a sister company - which has since been sold - who are professional valeters. Try here http://www.autosheenpcc.co.uk/get-a-quote.aspx (http://www.autosheenpcc.co.uk/get-a-quote.aspx) to find your nearest one.
Finally, here http://www.smartmapuk.co.uk/ (http://www.smartmapuk.co.uk/) you'll find a map containing independent SMART repairers, most of whom will offer mopping as a service.
I can't vouch for them as individuals, but the training and vetting procedures in place for ChipsAway should ensure you get a high standard of service.

Any rough ideas on prices please?

Ah, after scanning across that map in my region ive just realised that nearest technician to myself is infact the guy (number i found in the Yellow pages) who i had come to my house on Friday to evaluate the work needed etc. He seemed incredibly friendly yet professional and gave my a pretty reasonable quote.
I think il get him back to do work once payday arrives now that he's obviously recognised by yourself (not individually as you mention) and Chipsaway. Cheers
