Title: Day time running lights mk2 golf
Post by: drapergti on 03 July 2010, 12:43
Been toying with the idea of having my indicators working as day time running lights

Stumbled on this item http://www.eurowagens.com/en/vw/golf-2-jetta-2/us-indicator-modules-vw-audi.html and wondered if this is what I need and what else I would have to do to make it work.

Any ideas?

I recently purchased a set of crystal clear indicators from ebay for about £25 including postage and bulb's (check if they come with bulbs as lot's don't).

They also have a 'side light' mini bulb in them which you simply wire up the the main bulb connector and hey presto when you put your sidelight's on (i always drive with mine on both for safety and because it's cool :P) then the little white bulb's in your indicator's will light up too.

Not sure if that's what you were looking for but you will need some extra cable as it wasn't long enough to reach in my case and you could always hook them up to a constant live and fit a switch yourself to turn just those on and off or go to the ignition wire but that's a lot of cable and cost just for some driving light's!
