Title: help !! golf gti idle control valve

hi there just been down local garage me golf is running high tickover nearly at 2000 they have told me i need a idle control valve does anybody have a spare they could sell me?
thanks for reading i can pay pal straight away or would it be best to buy new??

its a golf gti cabrio on a f plate

before you get mugged take off the icv and give it a clean out with carb cleaner until the cleaner coming out is clear, allow it to dry and try it, if its still fubared then replace it,
also check/replace all your vacuum hoses and check for airleaks around the intake boot, airleaks will also cause a high idle

also, you can unplug it and see if it makes any difference at all.
i have one if it turns out you do need one
