Hi guys need some help!
Well after my drivers electric window decided to snap the wire I have replaced the whole mechanism - that was fine and fairly easy!
My problem now is the fact that I have lost one touch up!! When I push the button down the window drops all the way to the bottom no problem but when I press up the window goes to about half way stops the drops almost all the way down - either that or it goes almost all the way up, then with 2 inches to go then drops all the way down again.
Has anybody got any ideas on what I can do to get it back to one touch?
Cheers
Mitch

if its falling back down its not a loss of one touch, there's something wrong with the regulator or motor
-
It doesnt fall down it 'rolls' back down as if i had pressed the button again!
-
check the wiring, or could be a faulty switch

it thinks its being jammed u need to reset the windows i ahve done it in the pasdt but cant remember now i think its something to do with putting key in lock and setting them all down holding for 3 seconds then key in door lock setting them all up by rolling key right and holding 3 seconds then lock car unlock and key in ignition should solve it but dont qoute me on it, its been a while since ive attempted it again.

thanks for this info, i will give it a try as i fitted a new mechanism and although the one touch worked both ways i had to press up for it to go down and down for it to go up. All wiring looked ok so its a bit strange!

The symtoms that he has described are the window is not fully aligned. You need to loosen the brackets holding the window just under finger tight, close your window, back down (hold the glass gently) back up and bring down abit and tighten the nuts. Try opening your window all the way and if it sticks repeat the above. I also recomend greasing the feck out of the cables.

Mine does this on the driver's side, replaced the switch and motor/regulator and it still does it occasionally, i just live with it now.

Mine is not the same problem all windows have one touch except for up on the driver side. it does not jam on the way up it just does not go up by itself no matter how long you hold it,I even tried it with the mech out it still does not work.

Your motor may have been replaced for an older motor as they dont have the touch feature
