Title: Hissing sound when boosting? mk4 gti 180 bhp

MK4 anniversary 180hp.

ive got a forge splitter dv , boost gauge and a bmc airbox the secondary air punp hose it just sitting there and when i boost i get a load hising sound but i cant find where its comeing from .ive checked my hoses and theres no cuts ect any ideas anyone?????

ditch the split-r dv and get a 007p. Also you may just be hearing the turbo spool up

i fort they where the same thing ?? its around 6k revs sounds like its leaking :(

think the Split-r dv can only be closed off to 70%. the split-r is a part atmospheric, part re-circ valve. A 007p is a full recirc valve.

the spring may need adjusting for the warmer weather - have you tried going through the setup procedure again?

I have same issue, gets to and holds just over 2BarA boost on WOT, feel like it should sound different though, think I'm paranoid. :laugh:


I have 007P, pressure test holds fine.

found the problem, the turbo pipe to intercooler was hanging off :huh: all i did was refit and it was back to normal:D yay
