Title: Alhambra radio problem
Post by: jaydubveedub on 27 June 2010, 14:41
My uncle has got a 2003 Alhambra 1.9 TDI 130. It has a faulty electric window, traces to some broken wires in the passenger rear door, this is now repaired. It has also had a new battery fitted.

After reconnecting the battery the radio won't switch on at all - was working perfectly before.

We checked the radio fuse in the fuse box, all OK, and replaced the fuse in the back of the headunit but it still doesn't work. It's got the SCALA radio cassette with in-dash cd player above. There is still power to the CD player unit, which feeds off the head unit, which leads me to believe that there is power to the radio.

Any ideas? I reckon there is another fault in the head unit but it seems a strange coincidence.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It maybe the radio anto theft coding? Check the owners manual if you have one, or phone Seat's customer support number.

I know for sure a VW dealer will reset the code FOC.
