Title: wiring on springs
Post by: VeeDubGTI16v on 27 December 2004, 15:32
does this just need to be done for the mot, or is your car a bit unsafe if the springs are too short for the damper stroke length

sorry mate, not too sure what your asking? have you got standard shocks and lowered springs? i think that should be fine for the mot but there is always the risk that the spring can become unseated and cause you problems. what wiring are you talking about?

aahhh i see, yeah coilovers are one answer, but as i'm sure you've read they do make the ride a bit harsh blah blah blah, but f**k it they let you drop it on the floor!

im gonna have to get some damper adjustable ones tho cos ive got used to it on my konis, its an awesome feature  so thats ?700+

i find it crazy that you cant adjust the stroke length on shocks. they must know that any spring size is gonna get used by the consumer
