it's on the gearbox, towards the back

you can get your hand down there to change it without having to remove anything, but check the wiring and try cleaning the contacts on the plug first. Is your speedo playing up?

speedo is working fine, just the stutter whilst pulling away,
im using vcds light with an ebay lead,
it wont let me delete the codes after the scan

it may be a completely unrelated fault (it does say intermittent so may be old) so it would help if you can find someone to clear it for you. A faulty vehicle speed sensor (VSS) shouldn't cause a stutter it only feeds the speedo via the ecu but it may indicate a gearbox issue.
