Title: Smell of Dog...
Post by: musicman87 on 22 June 2010, 09:40
Hi all,

Just bought a used mk5 GTI and a few days in i'm starting to notice a distinct smell of dog from the boot, and inside the car. Is it best to shampoo the interior with a wet/dry vac machine or is there an alternative product that will get rid of the smell?

Thanks

Jon

Try some Zoflora as well. Available from Tesco etc for about £1.50 and you dilute it with water.

if the wet vac and shampooing of the seats doesn't sort it then there are other methods like aromatek which are designed to get through your air con system to neutralise and re-odourise interiors

Will this aromatek get rid of a mouldy smell coming from my air vents? I have already replaced the pollen filter, and had 2 of those bacteria killing sprays put round the car, but still when the blowers are on and the air con is off there is this smell coming from the air vents.

Any help on getting rid of that would be awesome.

Guy did you get my last PM about an exterior vallet?
