Title: Smart Repair from VW dealers

Hi guys, got offered the Smart Repair from VW when placing deposit on the Golf Gti Mk5.

Just wondered what you guys think of it or do you have it? :smiley:

by the way this the added extras option kind of thing  along with where they offer you the gap insurance aswell.

its smart dent insurance from VW. basically it costs you around 319 pounds. and it covers you for up too 3000 pounds worth of claims on chips dents and scratches. you give them a call they come out and sort it out for you.

Just wondering if anyone has this option from VW? or is it just a massive con. :undecided:

I wasn't even offered it when I got my GTI from the dealers . .

Sounds like a really good deal depending on how long the cover is for - normally smart repairs won't cover the bonnet or roof...so stone chips are likely to still exist...calling chips away out to sort a slight bumper scuff cost me about £150.
