After bitting the bullet to put my car for sale, all I wanted was something to go wrong with it
While driving back from Northampton today after looking at another car, ABS fault comes up on dash and now yellow abs light is on dash. Just scanned it for fault codes and this is what comes up
Address 03 -------------------------------------------------------
Controller: 1J0 907 379 Q
Component: ABS/EDS 20 IE CAN 0001
Coding: 13504
Shop #: WSC 00028
1 Fault Found:
00287 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor: Rear Right (G44)
35-00 - -
I looked here ( http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00287 ) for solution and to me it makes no sense.
I searched over web as well and all info I get is it can be sensor or it can be abs pump(which is quite expensive to replace). Need your guys advice what to do, how can I solve it without spending much. Also is it safe to carry on driving like this. Thanks

Possibly a break in the wiring going to the sensor
Whip the wheel off and have a look to see if the wire are intact or grab a multimeter and test it that way

i'm guessing its driver side rear wheel you are talking about :lipsrsealed:

If the harness turns out to be damaged beyond repair (mine got shredded after fitting coilovers), I wrote up a short description on how to replace it:
