cool pics horney
that vag trophy certainly has some serious looking cars in it! i can't see the audi 80 spaceframe monster in the pics though?
i bet your all pumped up for friday now
-
That Audi only ran as an invitation car at Brands last year apparently.
I had a chat with a few of the drivers and they said the circuit has suffered from the cold winter and it's got bumpier coming over Avon Rise into Quarry as well as a few other patches where it's got a bit bumpier. A couple of the Golf guys are gonna sort me out with what tyre pressures worked best over the weekend as well. The circuit hasn't been resurfaced since 92 and I think they're now considering doing it in the next couple of years.
One thing to note is going off line at Camp is baaaaaaaad. So much rubber junk on the outside people where flying off all over the place. If it rains betweennow and friday it should be better though.
But yeah, I drive like a nutter on the way home. I was so pumped up. TO Polo only did 35mpg on the way back, that tell you something  ?

Great pics as always Nick.
Did you get any pics of car number 34 in the Mk2 race?
-
Probably James, the ones on flickr are just the highlights. I'll have a look and if I have some good ones I'll upload them and PM you. Is it a mate of yours?
Nick
-
Yeah it's my mates & it was his 1st race.
-
Great pics dude.
Do you mind if I ask what body / lens combo you used?
-
Canon 400D and all shot with a 55-200mm cheapo sigma lens. I did mean to get my 50mm out for some paddock shots but I got a bit side tracked.

The Mechanic I use is hoping to enter VAG trophy again towards the end of the season, he is currently upgrading his mk2 from a vr6 to a rebuilt R32 lump.
-
Nice! I'm hoping to get to another round before the year is out. It's really great racing and the V6 ones sound mental. There was a Vento VR6 that lead the first few laps and the noise caused a stir in my trousers, ha ha.

Awesome, I can't wait to be reunited with my camera - and also to go somewhere worth photographing..
Is the 50 the Canon 1.8?
-
Yup that's the one, great little lens for the money.

What was it in particular you were looking for from this shot, Mr Horne?
