hi ive had the corrado g60 flywheel and golf vr6 clutch fitted yesterday, but now whenever i get to around 3000 revs and higher i get a vibrating feel through the gearknob and you can hear it too. just wondering if anyone has heard of this before and what i can do to stop it. thanks
-
was the flywheel new or if 2nd hand was it skimmed before you put it on?
-
to be honest, the flywheel was 2nd hand but was told reliably that it was skimmed. must be that. will be buying new this week i think, just want a smooth ride
-
just to add, does anyone know the torque setting of the flywheel bolts and clutch 'screws'? thanks
-
new flywheel ordered, £155.90 from chester vw with a £30 refund if i take my 'old' one back. found a thread about skimming a flywheel too much may cause juddering etc. so im hoping the brand new flywheel will solve my problem. will keep you updated. in the meantime if anyone has torque settings of flywheel / clutch bolts id appreciate them. thanks

I think you'd need the mk3 settings which I don't have to hand, might be worth an ask in there

Let us know how you get on.
If I ever had to do my clutch again I'd be going back to dual mass thats for sure.
-
dual mass are you for real?
Double the price as a single mass and weigh twice as much also power rating are sh!te
hence why 90% of people go single mass in the first place rather than buying a dual mass uprated.
-
I have single mass in my car now.
Snatchy clutch coming off the power the car jerks around
Juddering in 1st gear
Notchy changes sometimes
DMF felt way way sweeter. Shame the clutch started slipping and DMF juddering soon after. I saved 300 quid but part of me thinks I've ruined the drive of the car for skimping on this amazing conversion lol.

something is wrong with yours then as mine doesn't feel anything like that
