After getting my MAF replaced, polybushes fitted, wheel alighnment, and being a few hundred quid lighter, its time to sort out my dreaded front wipers which have been p*$$ing me off for a while
Basically its the motor/linkages, but i may have another problem.
The wipers froze halfway up the windscreen so usually i have to hold the wiper stalk down and manually pull/push the wipers back down to the starting position.
The only problem now is one of the wiper arms feel loose, they dont sit flat properly - 1 of them is slightly higher on the window, and when i turn them on they criss cross eachother ( X ) instead of staying paralell ( / / )
F***ED
Do you think ive done more damage than just the motor/linkages i.e new wipers needed aswell?
:embarassed:

If they are crossing over the wiper arm might have spun on its tapered/knurled fitting at the linkage. Might get away with fitting it on a new mechanism, ie really wrench it up!
You got the linkage yet? Get it sorted fella, with them flapping about like this you are at risk of scratching your windscreen and without wipers kinda illegal too.... :undecided:

I havnt got the replacement parts yet, i am a bit strapped for cash til next week maybe but i will try and borrow sooner if i have too. im gonna goto the local scrappie and see if theres any golfs there i can get the parts off. if not ill have to use ebay and that will take a few days.
The weathers been kind and looks like theres a few more days of sun left yet (fingers crossed) , and im not gonna drive in the rain with no wipers i'll tell you that for free ( put your money away  )
