yeah as blue says low oil. the buzzer is a warning buzzer. as you go round a bend fast the oil is thrown to one side so it doesn't get picked up by the oil pump and the buzzer kicks in. so check your oil!!!

If it was low oil the warning light would come on, the buzzer only sounds when the warning light is on and the engine is revved above 2000 rpm.

If the low oil pressure warning light isnt coming on and your oil level is ok then check the connections to the pressure sender on the oil filter housing.

Also check the wiring as its not uncommon for them to break and short to ground causing problems.

if he was driving round you could assume the car was above 2000rpm, and he also said the light came on as well.... so as he goes round these sharp corners the oil gets thrown up the sides of the sump away from the pick up. which is obviously what happened as he said his sump was dry!

i would do an oil change..........

and check the oil for metal fillings!

if the oil was below minimum then i would expect the big end bearings start to knock within the next 5000 mile!

if you had to put over 1 litre to get it up to max then
i would have thought you may have engine damage!

my oil filter seal blew once...... on a olf 84 gti......

it was empty! so i put new filter and got some oil for it...... about 1000miles later the bigends started knocking! other than that the pistons seemed fine the car went like a rocket and there was no blue smoke! it passed a roadside mot check!!

but it fcuked the engine up!

my mate let the oil on his ax run low!
i had to put 1 litre in it just to get it up to minimum!
and then another litre to get it to max!

the oil was coming out of his exhaust! bigbore!
looked right nasty! oh well he got caught driving without insurance in the peugeot 205 when he reversed and tapped someones car which was parked on yellow lines! he had a mini parked it up and someone jumped on his roof!  his A WING  has a crisscross screw holding it on...and eventuly the door come away from the pillair! and his front tyre was like an F1 SLICK!
i dont, know what the coppers would have said if they'd have pulled him! that was the only car what he was 100 legal on until it fell apart!

last i saw of him was 2 year ago!
the last i heard of him was my mate saw him and he said he's living with a girl whos got kids!

i hope thats cheered you up abit!
