I reckon about £2500 so far, what with my wheels, rear LEDs, RNS510, boot compartment, mats, Revo remap, expensive Carnuba wax from the US, various bulbs, etc.
I'm not saying I wouldn't have done any mods without you lot egging me on, but when you all start posting pix of the latest gadgets, it gets me going and after thinking about it for a couple of hours, I can't resist and go for it.
I wouldn't know half these toys existed if I didn't log onto this site, so yeah, actually, it is all your fault, yer b@stards!

It's nearly cost me my marriage on more than a few occasions!

Reason I joined the forum in the first place was to get some info as I was torn between the GTI and the GTD. So I guess it cost me about £9400 extra, but I don't regret it at all. Thanks
-
about £27,000.. in the shape of the whole car ;)
-
How much has this forum cost you? What a daft title.
-
Since joining the forum and after ordering the car, it has cost me an extra £2350 over and above the ordered extras from VW.

Good men Steve and Nick. You got your priorities spot on. I divorced mine before I totally indulged in my passions for all things mechanical and electrical!

Too much to count and a fair amount of blood and sweat. No tears though i'm far too manly.
-
well why not spend a little bit more ( sounds like you all got loads to throw away anyway  ) and for a great cause

And it's worse than it sounds: divided into 8-hour days, that's almost 18 months on here. Brilliant

I have been on here for over 5 years though.

The question should be "how much has this forum saved you from those stealing barstewards?"

lol at horneys post!
defo my nearly marriage as horney says, and too much money!!
bloody golf drivers ;) all your fault!!

Other than the options I specced when I bought the car it has probably cost me a further £1500 to retrofit LEDs and RNS510 a dog guard, a boot buddy to protect the boot floor, back of seat and sidewalls of the boot from glorious dog hair .
This is what makes us all unique as GTI owners in that not one car is exactly the same as someone elses, we've all made little differences here and there.

Car forum is not only bad for your wallet, it makes your OCD worst.
I now snowfoam + apply quickdetailer on my car every weekend. I had now got a polisher and had been using it to apply srp on my cars!
My neighbours favourite comment when they bump into me on my drive
Will you do my car next?

I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown everytime I have to use the roads with other cars around me and even more so as to where I park. I am building a big bed to sleep with Wolfgang and keep him safe!

I can see what looks like a scratch on the side of your car in your signature picture, towards the rear. Look carefully.
-
Not a scratch Froggy. Just some lipstick from your wife's handbag!

Its cost me a lot of money in cleaning products.
But its showed me now common white golfs are
Its probably going to cost me a couple of grand this year.
Its also shown me mines not the only rattling barge.
Its also give me a support blanked in the ordering to delivery process. Without the support i would not have a mk6 GTI and a still on going case with VW.
Funny many years ago i was a member here and i managed to detox i may need to do it go
