Title: Gearbox probs

My sis has a mk3 Golf 1.6 cl ('96 N, 75k). A few months ago it started giving her :sad: some problems with the gearbox, in that it would be difficult to disengage third gear, but now it is stiff in all gears. Any ideas what the cure/problem could be or is it a new gearbox job?

You checked there is oil in it  ?

Yep, plenty of oil and no leaks. Just changed the oil to see if that improved the situation, but no change
