I know the indicators need to be amber and you can do this for all red rear lights by using a green bulb, but what about the reversing light? Does that need to be a certain colour for MOT/the law?
-
yeah white, but you dont have to have a reverse lamp, so you could fit a tail light from a LHD car as its oppersite to how ours are (reverse light on other side)
if you have a reverse light howover, it has to work
iv used this trick on a car in the past, hope i have made sense

Ah that's a good idea. Thanks man :afro:

I had an old Micra which had a faulty reverse light for 2 MOTs and they never even had it as an advisory. May have just been jucky tho.

Reverse lights are not tested criteria in an Mot

I've run all red lights on a load of cars, some I just take the reverse bulbs out if no warning light on dash or leave them in and just be careful when you reverse incase the old bill are behind you!
Reverse lights aren't part of MOT but police can do you if they are in the mood

Cool, thanks for the info :afro:
