Title: Can somebody tell me what this unit is?

I have been restoring a 1989 2 door MK2. The car came fitted with this unit.

What is it does anyone know?

Microwave! :evil:.....................Dude you are gonna have to do better pictures than that that sticker I think is some sort of comunication signal standard sticker like the ones you get on phones? So that said I'm not Mr holmes take it off and crack it open then show us the guts! :tongue:

Not really now unless you can get a old phone with the larger sim card.

iv got a old Bosch phone which takes a large Sim, was my first ever phone waaaay back   :grin:

We still have a couple of the really old phones with the battery underneath in work, they weigh a ton.

had one fitted to my barn find 87 GTi, never knew what it was (didnt keep the car long) but one of life's great mysteries solved... thanks!!  :smiley:
