Title: bonnet lock buggered

More sh*tty adventures with my mk4... I replaced the induction coil, it's running fine, try to close the bonnet and it wont close properly, the latch seems to be buggered somehow. Can anyone help? Recently it has always been very hard to open it, but closing was fine until now.

Keep pulling the release all the way and then release it. Mine did the same before tried shutting it for 2 hours, went I for a cuppa and it shut first time.

Hmm, tried that but unfortunately mine is still buggered, cant close it.

This car is driving me up the wall.

The first catch holds it but the second one seems jammed or something, I can push it locked with a screwdriver with the bonnet up but it it pretty stiff. The release lever inside the car then releases the second catch fine. It just wont close!
