Title: If I had £52k spare...
Post by: Dan n Nic on 15 June 2010, 20:27
... I think I would be buying this. (As featured in this months VolksWorld Camper & Bus) In fact I may sell the house and get a mortgage on this as you could live int it!

You have probably seen it before, but it is up for sale again.

340 BHP
482 lb/ft Torque

I think if it was white without them stickers it would look nicer, but still not worth that much

Opened his chequebook.

Given that it's a 2.5 TDI base motor with 174bhp it's not a huge leap of imagination to get it to put out 340bhp.

As the standard 174 motors are renowed for destroying driveshafts, clutches and gearboxes a lot of money will need to have been spent in that area.

if i had 52k spare i'd buy a mint split screen camper and stick a porsche motor in it, spend 10k on my mk1, buy a trailer 4 it, and get a garage built next to my house and probably still have change!

and the splitty with the right motor would probably out do that tango van, if not, roll the mk1 off the trailer with its 5k motor and give that some beans instead!

Meh, you're all barking up the wrong horse.

This conversion under a T5 California is the best possible EPIC in the camper department:

for the same price I can get insured on a mk4 1.4 e, so if I do get into college i've got to find a job at asda or somethin working the days I don't go college, and try and save up to get insured as I've had my license 9 months and I have still not driven on the road since, just the odd pulling the car out of the garage..
