Would they just go crappy & look naff or have people had some ok results?
Just on a tight budget and matt black works out a lot cheaper.
Mike.

i sprayed mine gloss black and after a while they go matt :))
they look alrightt tbh
-
Cheers, I tend to get a bit ocd about my wheels. So I would normally gloss them then add several coats of lacquer, but this usually ends up costing me a fortune in rattle cans & as money as tight after buying the wheels I just though several coats of matt black may be ok?

Brake dust is hard to shift off Matt Black wheels. They end up looking brown.

i did mine the same :) 2 cans off gloss black £6.99 each and 1 laquer £6.99 big cans :))
job done for me x
-
Cheers dudes! I have good pads for stopping but the dust is a pain!
No being lazy for me then!
-
You kind of answered yout own question being OCD with the wheels.

Looks fooooking sexy  But what tyres have you got on them? The profile is massive, ruins everything - get some 195/45/16's and yeah, drop the car
-
cheers guys
There just the tyres that came on em when i bought em, but when i have the funds thats definately on my list of things to do along with the drop!!

sorry but that looks wrong to me personally
other way round... yellow centres
-
They look quite nice bud, works well, I wouldn't do yellow centres though as that will be too much yellow, and let's face it, your car is already enough yellow.
Just make sure you keep them clean and keep your tyres gelled, lower that bad boy and get some lower profile tyres.

Thanks :embarassed:
-
yeah did think of yellow centres with polished lip but like shady pioneer says think it would be too much yellow.
Yeah but definately agree on the tyre size, these were the tyres that came on the wheels when i brought em and as they are pretty new and my mot is next month thought i'd just leave em on for the moment.
What tyre size would you reccomend??

195/45/16 is a good all round choice.

That's a compliment! That saying has stuck in my head now when ever i do little jobs on my car
-
yellow centres and polished lip would have been uber cool
lets be honest, a bit more yellow is not gonna make much difference in regards to too much yellow... just look at the interior
wheels look lost at the mo and the yellow rings make them look TINY, new rubber and gel will help
