has anyone got a tuning box on tdi 130 golf? do they work ok?

Remap is a better bet.

The tuning box can only alter the fuelling unlike a remap where a remap will alter many different parameters.

That and when you say 'tuning box' it could just be a 16p resistor in a box, they are very common on eBay.

im getting my car remapped this weekend at star performance. :cool:, he says i should get a power increase of 170ish.  :smiley:

sounds about right 170+bhp and massive amounts of torque about 270-300IBFT

i got car remapped today, i got 172 bhp and 270 lbf - ft :smiley:. are turbos common to go on 130tdis?

Turbo life can depend on how much of a hard life it's had. But it isn't a 'commom' thing to go.

That torque is slightly low in my opinion.
