who would ever use it

Friend of mine had a complete pile of S**t old corsa, head gasket blown so he spoke to these.  He came away laughing with £460 in his back pocket.  Horses for courses I recon mate.

Got to remember, MK2's are ancient now, they don't take into account the cult following that were all used to, just an old motor to them

Id be down there like a flash if I were you  . You wont get a better offer for a Mk3 lol.

Who takes these offers? People who know their cars are about to implode, the very skint and Mk3 owners  .

My dads a trader and told me that webuyanycar.com is actually (car craft) all they actually do is as soon as they get the cars they send them straight to auction which judging buy the prices they offer they earn a decent profit as they pay well well below book price for more modern cars and offer pennies for the older cars either way there onto a winner. As a buisness its a really good idea but the only thing I dislike about it is people who are desperate for cash get exploited and end up giving them the cars for nothing if there desperate for cash  :undecided:

I've used them twice, and you can get a decent offer if you have the right sort of car they want. Both times i've sold them barely 2 year old cars, one a Yaris, one a 9n2 Polo, and i got very good prices.

IIRC both where in the region of 7000 - 7500, thats after the admin charge.

It's all supply and demand to these guys.

The day i went in to sell the Polo, there was a guy there who'd just sold an F reg mini for 50 quid!

Would they let me buy it? Would they balls!

My dad took his F reg merc 300 TE there, needed welding on the engine mounts or summit and rotten arches, had done 300k ... they gave him £360 for it  :grin:he was happy

i think they quoted £1900ish for mine , i paid £4985 last september  :lipsrsealed:

but they price it based on a standard car , they dont care about mods.

they gave me £6100 for my last car tho (mk5 astra 1.9 cdti sri 150 xp) , which i paid £8100 for a year before selling.

i wasnt too disheartened as i just wanted rid and wanted to get my golf
