Title: MG ZR owner wanting another GTI.
Post by: Gene Hunt. on 17 December 2004, 19:00
:smiley:As above on the look out for another been out again today & had a look at 3 MK4 GTI turbo's,all quite high on the milage. One had 100k on the clock.
The dealers have offered a straight swap for my 03 ZR i'm tempted but the high milage is putting me off should i worry to much ? & what should i look out for other than a blown turbo.
Thanks in advance.

when i had my mark 4 my main issues with the car were electrical issues also drivers door window poped out and fell inside the door. high mileage shouldnt be a problem as long as its got full service history. also look at front bumpers and bonnet for stone chips as the bumpers get sh8t loads of them. hold out for a good example and bargain hard on those issues u may get money knocked off

i bought my golf with 77k on the clock its now done nearly 93k,
the only repairs i have done is the air flow meter and both front electric windows that fell out in the door, but i hear these are common faults anyway.
