Title: VW not as big as i thought.
Post by: ClaireTME on 08 June 2010, 20:28
Well when you buy a car the following it has for parts and people can be good and bad, having had a VW before i thought i could not go wrong.  Only to find i hit a bump at the first try on getting a part.

Well to date i have posted about it but basically i did not have any power VW changed a sensor but still a problem the have told me i need a new exhaust complete from the turbo back? which sounds strange why it would all need replacing but the think the Cat is broken,

Now i think no probs until i can not get one unless its from VW and a nice price of £750.  i though i could look out and about from another independent garage etc but no one stocks the downpipe and CAT,,so a little sad ATM it's a MK5 GTI 55 plate with 30k FVWSH.

Anyone else have problems getting parts,

Claire you ment to say this didn't you?
Sorry Claire couldn't help myself forgive a bored bloke!
When you buy a car and the car needs parts, its like being the good, bad and Ugly, having owned a VW before I thought I really couldn't go wrong. But I find myself hitting a massive bump at the dealers on trying to get parts, well upto date I have all ready posted and moaned about it, but basically My car had no power when VW changed a sensor, but it was still FEKEd! They have explained me that I need a new exhaust system from the manifold to the back box? Which to me sounds absolutely strange why it would need a complete replaced system? But I reckon the Cat has broken, which is a real pain in the arse because unless its from VW at a nice price of £750 it feels like they are raping me hard. I though I could find aftermarket parts out there or find an independent garage to supply me with one etc but No Fekers stocks the dam downpipe and CAT! So a little bewildered trying to find these poxy parts at the moment. By the way it's a MK5 GTI 55 plate with 30k FVWSH. If anyone else has a good source or a contact to get me cheap ass parts, please let me know pretty please?

No, you didn't punctuate the sentence so it makes no sense. Are you asking a question? Needs a comma after DICK otherwise it reads completely wrong.

I can not understand what the hang up is with people's English, it really matter's NOT! Instead it fill's people's post's up with irrelevant post's that have nothing to do with anything, they must be the sad one's with no one else to play with..Not everyone has a good education or is good at English.

You miss the point Claire, we are here to help you, but you original post was very hard to read as if you just typed without reading what you wrote? But your post just now makes perfect sense and you have the ability to use punctuation! It has nothing to do with education as reading and writing should be important as you well know if you wrote like that for a Job or CV, would you actually do it? I'm not perfect nor I claim to be, but communicating correctly just shows a bit of pride in what you’re saying to people. Dyslexic people try harder to correct themselves because its not even there fault!
Regardless if your mother tongue is German they still have grammar!
DH is like that furniture you polish once in awhile  I apologies for his directness as I feel responsible for starting this.
Welcome I'm sure no more jibs will be made RIGHT LADS :lipsrsealed:?

Yeah i don't care about spelling or anything, just punctuation makes it understandable and readable.

There are a lot of places you can go for the spares you require, even a breakers or scrap yard. There are a lot of VAG specialists.

Yeah try scrap yards or even ebay. Or de-cat pipe
Love the evo, I would love one, but can only afford a mk3
