Hi, anyone have alot of experience with the mk3 climatronic?  I have a 95 gti in germany that the climatronic flashes when the car is first turned on, then it will not blow cold air anymore.  Now the catch....I am in Iraq for some months, and the misses wants a/c to work again as it is getting warm.  What are the odds of this just being low freon?  And would it flash for that?  Or are there any other simple troubleshooting that a competant woman could do and then relay the out come for?
Any help(with the car) would be much appreciated.

Sounds like a pressure switch problem or out of gas.
