Title: Seat change question
Post by: Nino on 08 June 2010, 12:22
Hey guys, ive got a set of GTI 5 door seats on standby and was wondering isit just a case of taking out my standard seats from my GL and popping in the new GTI seats? or will i have to change/mod anything for them to fit?

As Wayne said straight swap. I did my cl's to gti's and was nice and simple. When doing the back just note the clip that holds then in place slots into a cut out on the back seats. Didn't notice this straight away and spent a while trying to force it over, but once it lined up just dropped in place.

Two things to note...

Remove the trim that covers the inner runner of both seats,  otherwise it can be broken easily, just lifts up off with the the forwards and pulls out, and DONT Loose the plastic clips on the legs of the seat, or you will have a wobbly seat!!!
