Are they black or smoked? If smoked, then I'd leave them, but if black, then probably color code :)

looking nice just like that but you need brighter (whiter) lights, where you get them from & how much?

I'll HID it up eventually, paid £40 for the lights but on surround was missing and the other was cracked but just sourced some surrounds and back plates, never used, for £30 so the lights look spanking and cost me £70 total.

Please don't fit HID's, consider other road users.

I agree with Wayne. How many times have you had someone come at you with HIDs, and have to slow down, or be dazzled? Drive safe, and there is no need for brighter lights ;)

its not gonna dazzle no more than any new car which had hids from the factory, the only ones that dazzle badly is when they are fitted into non projector lamps and the light all over the place

Bang on Mate....looks loads better with the black slats. I did this to mine and if you look at Dom069's on here he has done it to his red GTI. Looks loads better.

Also it's not really about the non-projector lamps, but more about the k's. Some idiots drive with 10k HIDs....Now that's fooking dazzling.

Looking great :afro: If I were you i'd leave them black and spray the slats black.

I was a bit sceptical about doing mine at 1st so I used an old debadged grill I had lying around as a test, but once it was on I loved it

I just need to get smoked fogs & indicators to set it off!

Except for the fact that 6K is brighter then 10K............

They look good, might have to give it a go myself!

You just spray over the top or you have to mess around splitting them and spraying the inside of the lenses??

***Edit: Just had a quick look on the bay, found this....£7.35 delivered

Thats the one mucker
Just spray over the top, I removed em, masked off everything but the lenses, cleaned thoroughly, then did 3 coats I think, best to leave a good 15 mins between coats.
Get it done, they look badass
