MFA is fine; i use that quite alot no problems. My wipers all work fine. Its just when i did the washers which i havent used in quite a while. It was obviously some insulation on the wire burning away which ofcourse is worrying in itself! When i get chance i will take it apart and have a look. It was coming up from the hazard switch area.

Ill just keep clear of using the washers until i find out for sure, hopefully i should be getting my company car this week so ill get chance to dismantly it all.

it was bought second hand for i think it was £50 notes (not got the paperwork in front of me), although it was quite a fair few years ago and they seem to sell for half that these days (just make sure all the white markings are not worn off as iv seen a few like that)

im just hoping it doesnt burst into flames!  something was deffinatly burning and from the smell of it its was probably the wiring insulation. Not got a problem with how any of it functions, but i may wash the windscreen by hand up untill i get the chance to investigate!
