Title: Not firing up on all cylinders...
Post by: Jay on 05 June 2010, 22:24
I've been getting this a bit recently, it seems to fire up on 2 or 3 cylinders. I've not yet had a chance to scan with VAG COM as I've had a hectic day and am completely knackered, but will do a scan tomorrow.

What could it be? MAF, coolant temp sensor (reads the temp fine), clogged air filter  ?   :undecided:

To add to my original post, it is fine after a few seconds and runs fine after that.

I'll go do a scan in a minute

Cleared all codes ( I didn't take down the codes already there ) took it for a drive and tripped out the turbo again whilst waving at a BIG convoy of old busses and other dubs on the Wallingford 'ring road' and got this when I got home, as expected after an over boost.

It hasn't done it since ...

I'll have to start putting money aside because no doubt it will come back with vengeance and cost me a fortune.
