Title: Need help with new MK3 gti
Post by: cheets on 03 June 2010, 20:27
Hi guys.
Ive just bought a mk3 but i have a few problems with it, cheif among which is the steering is insanely light. Just wondered if any of you knew what is was and how i can get it back to normal, the other is when i go round right hand corners there is a rubbling from the passengers side wheel. Just wondered if it was something like a CV joint. Any help and prices would be much appricated :)
Cheers Adam

i checked the tyres before i drove it home. put 28psi in them?? could it be that the tyres are odd??? previous owner obviously wanted as many brands on it as possible  :undecided:

tyres wont make a difference unless at a silly psi ie 60-70 check the pipes in the power steering if theyve been replaced theres a good chance the new pipes are too big i had a rover 220 gsi you could lock to lock with the flick of a finger scary on a motorway lol.the cv joint should really make a clicking noise but may rub if its really dry  :nerd:
