Hey people does any one run 18x9j all round, on there mk 4 gti?
-
Hi mate
It all depends on alot of things? The offset being the main factor, and also the tyre stretch!
I would not like to run a 9j on the front as i can forsee clearance issues!
I run a 10j on the rear, and a 8.5 j on the front.
With a -5 offset on the rear and a 0 offset on the front

which ones are they?

porkers?

18x9 et35 won't fit on the front. The inner rim will hit the strut before the wheel bolts up straight
You'll need to aim for et25 and a stretched tyre. 10mm spacer + 215/40 or possibly 225/40 tyre will do it, but you'll need to space the rear by at least 15mm to match the front otherwise it'll look strange
-
Pat, is that a major stretch you'll need? just wondering because i'm looking to get 8.5j in the future but i dont want a major stretch...
Cheers!
-
gotta love wide rims :) and they issues they can cause
-
Barry, 215/40 on an 8.5j isn't too bad to be honest.
On a 9j it's starting to look quite stretched. I don't have a pic of mine but I'll get one sorted of my mates 8.5 with a 215/40
-
Here you go mate, these are 8.5j et30 with 215/40 Falken 452 tyres
