Title: A good polisher for beginner??
Post by: lloydGTI on 02 June 2010, 12:57
Hi all

I was just wondering if a Clarke CP180 - 1300W Electric Sander & Polisher (230V) is ideal for a complete beginner??

Don't worry i don't plan to take it straight to my car as i know i could do some damage. If the above is no then could someone point me in the direction of a good polisher.

Also my old man has a selection of grinders and sanders in his garage as he his a builder, can these be used or are they to powerful? Does it need to between a certain watt?

Thanks
L

as said above a DA is best for begginers to polishing, rotorys that are specificly for car polishing have variable speed settings, the current ones on the market have starting speeds of around 4/700rpm's and top out at around 3000/3200rpm's.

waxamomo don't sell the DAS-6 PRO   I guess Chris might be able to update us if this is going to be stocked soon?

Maybe, I am in touch with the factory that makes them, but i'm not making any promises.
