Hi i bought a Pro-Alloy front mount off a guy on this forum because it looked like it fitted really well. I have now fitted this to my AUM same engine code as him but my fitment is completely different ive had to chop the front bumper about which i hate and he didn't. I wondered if there was a reason for this ? if he didn't have AC would of it had sat much further back ? The only reason i am asking is because i have chopped the bumper about and the bumper even though its on and bolted in place its not fitting right by the arch if that makes sense ? and the front valance was buckled (now cable tied into place for temporary fix) so i no its not on properly but i cant even see where its hitting no more lol...
Any advice would be much appreciated its a Pro-alloy intercooler for a A3 and a piping kit i believe for a mk4 golf. I want to move the intercooler back and fit the front grills again just for looks as not a keen fan on the pipes even though they look mean lol

i would buy just the bumper then smooth and spray it myself or wait until the car has a blow over..
-
why is the US bumper so much different ?? how much further forward does it sit ?? If i did fit the US bumper would that mean the pipes on left and right of intercooler would sit further back and i could put the grills back on for a more stealth look ??
-
the us bumper is larger and comes out more than the euro one due to different safty laws
-
Will a valance made to fit the Euro bumper fit the US spec?
