Well as some of you were aware i'v basically had an issue where my boosts been hitting 5psi only :cry: and comes and goes ok one minute and then another back down to 5psi again :laugh: so i needed to get to the bottom of this and get it boosting as it should so thursday i got it booked in and yesterday i made a trip down to the midlands car hit requested boost 5 miles into my journey then before getting on the A1 it was 5psi again stopped for some v power and got going cars boosting again :rolleyes: all the way down okay so once there chris & ben give it a check for anything obvious etc bit of a chat and then some more searching chris found alot of movement on my forge tip :huh: and investigated further under the car as he had an idea also a check on vag-com and lo and behold the 17705 had returned :sad: basically chris wasn't happy (neither have i been since fitting :rolleyes:)with how the tip was sat and underneath became clear it was a little twisted on the inlet stub of the t/c so him and ben pulled it off and both re-aligned it and gave it a good tighten up as chris said he got it to go tighter before re-alignment had a look at the charge hose to pancakepipe that i fitted about 3 weeks ago and it was bone dry :smug: and well clipped in even pulling down heavy on it! so a run on the rollers then and i sat in with ben as to do some logging for chris what a feeling my golf beeing run in 4th up to nearly 7k (didnt look at speedo) :afro: for the power runs etc once done chris in detail explained virtually everything that was logged :wink: everything performed as it should no issues!! even the std smic is up to the job at the minute car boosted okay

Well the result is im producing 200bhp @ wheels and overall the car made 225-230bhp & 260lb/ft torque
needless to say i was well happy!!
even better chris and me went for a run nice n damp esp/asr off :evil: :evil: couldn't get it into limp mode and its now hitting 20/21psi holds n drops as it should fook me does it pull and feel strong!! so hopefully cars as it should be big thanks to both the lads for yesterday i had a good time and learnt alot too oh and best little mod of the day......ben noticed my centre heatshield was missing two of its clips causing it to rattle :embarassed: fixed with two plastic orange juice tops :grin: :grin: quality does the job mind :tongue:
