Yes, thanks, I was wondering if the on/off setting knob pics are ment to be black and the vents to have no crome surround since the fronts do. I guess its normal.

Sorry, no photo but mine look the same as Jonny's.
VW taking a leaf out of Ford's book and putting cheaper interior trim in the back.

sorry about the crappy photo, it was only from my phone, i took this randomly because i was midly impressed by the way the little can holders fold away into the little space, and there appears to be a magnet to hold it up

Unless somebody kicks it off and it ends up in the side pocket like mine is at the Mo

I wonder if someone will make an insert to make this 'rear console' more in line with the dashboard. Nice face, shame about the arse!

You don't see in the back while your driving

oh dear, that's unfortunate.

come to think of it it is a bit flimsy from what i remember. i guess with most of the other stuff 'optimised' for the speed of the car, like the engine, the turbo, the brakes, the suspension, the aerodynamics, other stuff like the cup holders might be forgotten about. tis a bit of a shame cos if the rear-seat passengers are being thrown about on the back seat and thus more likely to kick any bits, maybe a little consideration? having said that i suppose it could have been simply 'no cupholders' - like in the opening scene of Bad Boys where the 2 main cops are rockin it in the Porsche 'limited edition' and the Martin Lawrence character quips that it's "limited" due to having no cup holders to put the drinks.
Love that film! So funny.

True. But then they could put any old crap in the rear, dear!

Marcus Burnett: Hey man where-where-where's your cup holder?
Mike Lowrey: I don't have one.
Marcus Burnett: What the f- w'you mean you don't have one? Eighty thousand dollars for this car and you ain't got no damn cup holder?
Mike Lowrey: It's $105,000 and this happens to be one of the fastest production cars on the planet. Zero to sixty in four seconds, sweetie. It's a limited edition.
Marcus Burnett: You damn right it's limited. No cup holder, no back seat. Just a shiny dick with two chairs in it. I guess we the balls just draggin' the f*** along.

I had a look in the back yesterday - mine are the same too.
Not really bothered, as I can't see them
More cost saving methods... but I don't feel there is any need for them to have silver inserts - they look fine to me.

Dunno whether this has been posted before anywhere else but whilst trying to find what the rear vents looked like on more typical Golfs, I came across this insanely awesome bad boy - would you have your kid travel in the back seat in anything else?!
