Whats best product to completely strip all layers of wax / jetseal to start again, used the car wash at garage (no brush of course, just hot shampoo!) as thought that would contain a TFR, which would strip it all down, but didnt seem to strip anything.
From things i have read, claying will remove it, but wouldn't that just get the clay full of wax and dirty very quickly?
Would a proper drum of caustic TFR remove all these layers to start afresh, or would this g101 do the same job?

claying it is fine and if you do it straight after washing it shouldnt get very crappy, tfr will remove all of it though jetseal may still be present so washing it twice might be needed, when the cars dry you could over it with some finishing compound by hand which will help remove any left over wax/sealant that might still remain.

Thanks Dan, will give TFR a go then
-
keep in mind you might have to do it twice and possibly go at it with some finishing polish to be sure its all removed properly.
-
Will do thanks, any recommendations on TFR or is it all much of the same?
High caustic or low? much difference?

above is the data sheet for AS Active XL. Bloody good stuff, very effective cleaner and gets all the crap off the car, can be diluted, dont allow it to dry on the car though and make sure you rinse it off thoroughly. this will definatly remove anything you've put on before.

I used dilluted G101 to get everything off.
Worked pretty well - after I degreased, then washed there was no sign of beading at all.
-
no beading isnt a sure sign that all sealant is removed.
-
Yep as Dan said thats not a sign, you can even get beading with Polish only.
