Right guys, i had to show someone what i've been doing with my spare time for the last week! :nerd:
Before:
Now, although I do abit of valeting trucks at work and even the occasional spray job, I never thought I'd do any like this!
So I scrubbed and scrubbed, the orbital sanded, attacked with the detail sander, then a drill, then some peek, and threw hours of my life at it! Sand blasted it too. Bit of etch primer here and there, and voila!
15 hours later...
Plus tyre...
And a comparison one...

So all I'm here for is a quick pat on the back, and some motivation to do the other 3, feel free to send me some? Anyone?
Also, let me know what you think of my job, as of quality, and choice of colour?
Cheers guys

Cheers! Some of these have kerb scuffs, nothing too major an to be honest they weren't too hard to do.
The worst bit was the piece of lip that's polished that faces in, if that makes sence?
You going for painted look or polished?

super job :afro:
wouldn't it have been easier to do all the processes at the same time? eg. all the sandblasting, all the spraying etc?
-

It would of! But i wanted to see what it would look like, hence the tester one
-
looking very nice

That's a transformation, great job!

Had to break out the tissues for that wheel.
Great work mate, i'll make you a tea in congratulations! Now get back to work :D
-
Just a quick question rather then start a new thread.
To protect the lip after polishing with Peek, I'm thinking poorboys wheel sealant? Then a wax on top of that?
Something like Rimwax? Or Collinite 476? Or will just the sealant be enough?
Oh, and thanks for the encouragement! 2nd one is nearly fully prepped
Roll on the completion date!
For the car! Not just the wheels!
-
put a layer or two of sealant on then a couple of layers of 476 on and buff off well, re-apply a layer of 476 every 2/4 weeks after you've washed the car etc to bulid the layers up and keep on top of it. another alternitive is layer fk1000p on them.
-
Thanks alot for that
I just love how helpful this hang out is

Just have too add, WOW! Stunning alloys and what a job on that refurb.
