Title: Gti turbo 99 plate temp gauge playing up help please

Hi there

my temp gauge on the dash is working intermitantly, shows 0 or middle of gauge, any help please??

It says intermittent, either 0 or half way, how's that normal when it's showing zero after 2 hours driving, thanks for the one sensible offer of help.

sounds like a temp sensor. fairly cheap and easy to do. i work in a VW garage and we get through a lot of them.
