Title: Keeping leather clean
Post by: jonnygo on 26 May 2010, 20:26
Hi all

Just bought a beautiful MK6 GTI with black leather interior.  I was wondering if I needed to use a product to keep it clean?
I noticed today that the passenger side seat had a chalk-like hue on it that I was unable to rub off!  Any advice appreciated.

best

Following on from Dan, I have tried 2 products.

Poorboys Leather stuff : - Its not very good, its to be rubbed in by hand, yes it cleans but it doesnt really condition that well. It smells ok at first but next day its pretty rank to be honest.

Gliptone Leather Cleaner & Conditioner : - Now were talking, the cleaner is fab, does what it says on the tin but its the conditioner that is pretty special. It not only leaves the leather feeling great and protected/conditioned, but this stuff smells georgeous, and next day its brought the leather to life really and it smells just like new leather seats have just been installed. Its great stuff.
