Title: I know it's not a golf but....
Post by: Horney on 26 May 2010, 09:23
.... the glowplug light is flashing on the Polo all the time as of this morning. Not having a manual for the car I can't look up what it's trying to tell me.

Probably a glowplug brokeb or similar but any insight might be useful.

1.4 PD TDI if you were wondering.

Can be so many things, broken brake light switch is a common one to trigger the light. Glow plug relay or get each glow plug on a voltmeter and test them.

Can you get it on Vag-Com?

I'm gonna check the brakelights later and hopefully someone near me has VAG-COM and can give it a going over.

Cheers bud.

Basingstoke. I know a couple of peeps with VAG-COM in Newbury so I might run it over if it proves to be tricky to fault find.
