Post by: nicol_vw on 20 May 2010, 17:23
Has anyone got any good tips on how to get a decal off from the inside of my rear windscreen?
It looks like it has been there since the start of time and looks frigin awful!!

If you haven't got a 'Hot Air Gun' a Hair drier will do just as good a job

Spray with a soapy solution, and use a stanley knife blade to "Chisel" the decal, and the adhesive off in one go, though be careful not to catch any of the heated rear window elements in the process.

Just use a Stanley knife blade or similar to scrape it off. Angle the blade against the glass as if trying to slide it under the sticker and you`ll find it will come off easy.
