Title: newbie gti girl from west yorkshire

I thought I'd take the leap and join - been looking at this forum for ages!
I' in Bradford, West Yorkshire and I have a purple gti (mk3 - the slow one? Maybe, but we like cruising so its cool).
I've only ever owned VW's
History
1. Tomato red Derby (with the steering wheel from a routemaster bus!)
2. Bronze bread bin Polo (1984). I loved this car so much I sprayed the hubcaps, door handles, and wipers a lovely metallic purple : )
3. White Golf CL (1992). My first set of tinted windows and power steering woohoo!
4. White Polo Parade Coupe (1990). Colour-coded bumpers, twin headlights, fogs, looked just like golf gti but it used to take me a long time to set off from the lights and I could only over take if going downhill.
5. Twilight Violet Pearl Golf GTI, 8V, 2.0l (1996). The gabster. Love this car, but garages I take it too often can't understand why I keep such an old car going, and one of them mentioned the 'S' word. :sick:
Anyway, I'll shut up now cos this was just an introduction, but I'm looking forward to being on here.
