Title: Multifunction steering wheel buttons

Hi guys

I have a 05 MK5 GTI, (see my signature) and I have the old style multifunction steering wheel, and the p!ss poor RCD 300 (looking to upgrade to an RCD 510 soon) As I don’t have a phone kit fitted, and I don’t plan too, I was wondering if I could programme the phone answer and hang up buttons to do other functions? At the moment they just sit there taking up space.

Any advice would be great.

Not possible as far as I know unless you hardwire the buttons directly.
