Title: MK1 CABRIOLET REAR BRAKE HELP

Hi does anyone know how to adjust the rear brakes please. Footbrake works fine. Handbrake is adjusted to the limit but for some reason the O/S wont work on handbrake although the N/S does.

Is there another way of adjusting ive taken drum off but cant see an adjuster

iirc depending on year they should be self adjusting, it maybe that your cables need replacing as there is no adjustment left. you may want to overhaul both rear brakes rather than trying to make do. altho 80% of braking is done by the fronts the rears have a large effect on pedal feel and overall performance
