Just had 2x Conti Sport Contact 3's fitted to mine. So far so good, grip seems ok. Not sure they would last 12k miles though

How much are they the new ps3?
I am going to make these my next tyre's. Got dunlops on at the moment, i know when they start to wear down they become very poor tyres.

i got a few quotes cheapest i found was 137 a corner fitted, the place i used matched it and on the invoice it says 255 each then price matched! they are more than most tyres but well worth it, im expecting them to last really well too

Why fit new or less worn tyres on the rear? (http://www.michelin.co.uk/michelinuk/en/car-4x4-van/less-worn-tyres-rear/20070314172074.html)

...........most tyre centres recommend ''new'' rubber to go on the rear of a front wheel drive car.Less chance of the rear end braking away.

Sorry Gene, but i would have to have the new rubber on the fronts first

i prefer to change mine round half way through, then do them all in one hit, that way if you want to change type brands etc theres no issues.

Just ordered 4 Sunny SN3830's for next winter. Will fit them on my secondhand wheels (that came with a brand new Avon and two half worn Hankooks)
The Hankooks are better tyres than the F1's before them.

Ling Long Ditchfinder Pro. £37 each.

Hello, first post
Could you tell me what these are like noise wise as I`m` having tyre noise issues having just fitted Bridgestones.
They`re unbearable and I need to change them soon.

Very quiet as they have an asymetric tread pattern. No conplaints and a very pretty design tyre (as tyres go!)

i think the main issue with the vreds is their longevity. when i buy tyres i want them to be alrounders, good in all weather and long lasting. you can read opinions on the web forever about tyres but as i say i want a good tyre that lasts. steve how many sets of vreds have you got through in the last six months since you started using them? to me its a false economy buying cheap tyres and shredding them quickly.

^^^^
done 10000 miles, and have about 3mm on the front.
rears have done about 7000 and still on 6-7mm
Considering its a 300bhp car, think they have done very well.
I will be getting the same tyres again in a month or so.
-
suppose thats not too bad but i thought you have been through a few sets of them already and you only started buying them recently?! :lipsrsealed:
suppose it depends on the driving style aswell or motorwway miles like i do. managed 20k out of my last set!
